The Riviera Dress was inspired by a crisp white cotton Dior dress, and takes on a Riviera style. The overall silhouette is hourglass with a wide fitted waist panel and full, gathered and flared skirt. The bodice features a relaxed laid on sleeve with a traditional shirt style cuff and placket. The neckline has a deep V, with an extra gusset piece that can be added inside if you would rather the neckline not finish so low. There’s also a centre back zip to get in and out.
Last but not least… it has pockets!
The booklet accompanying this pattern includes step by step make instructions with detailed illustrations. Lay plans to help you cut the pattern out and a selection of fabric widths by pattern size.
There are finished garment measurements inside the booklet to help you decide which size to make. We think the Jacket is true to size.
The desired Fabric weight is Light to Medium.
Difficulty
This pattern as Moderate. The Dress has a lot of gathering, some in small section that can be quite fiddly. There's also a cuff placket to construct. Follow the booklet and get in touch whenever you need help!
