About this pattern

The Quilted Jacket is a slightly oversized boxy jacket shape, drafted to be able to wear over a jumper.

A reversible Jacket with internal binding on the inside. There are patch pockets with a frill around the outside and a frill down the front edge. There’s also a drawstring in the Sleeve, so you can knot the tie into a bow.

The booklet accompanying this pattern includes step by step make instructions with detailed illustrations. Lay plans to help you cut the pattern out and a selection of fabric widths by pattern size.

There are finished garment measurements inside the booklet to help you decide which size to make.

The desired Fabric is a double sided quilting. You could make your own quilted fabric with differing sides to make the most of the reverse side.

A test version has been made in faux fur, more on that to follow….

  • This pattern is moderate. This Jacket needs to be finished with bound internal seams which can be fiddly and time consuming. Puffa and quilted fabric can be tricky to work with Follow the booklet and get in touch whenever you need help!

  • This pattern is sized Small to XXL, the jump between sizes is bigger than our usual grade. This pattern is drafted to either be made in a thicker weight quilting or in a lighter/thiner weight to be worn over a jumper. Check the Finished Measurements in the images to help choose your size.

  • This PDF is made up of both A4 and A0 files, and instruction booklet.

    The A4 file is made up of 44 pages. When printing select "Actual Size" in Print setup. A 10cm x 10cm square is included within the file (page5). Measure this to check the file is printing to accurate measurements. There is a “map” to help you lay out your pages on page 40.

    All pages have an overlap of approximately 2cm, and a dashed line boarder. This will enable you to accurately match each page.

    THE A4 VERSION CAN BE PRINTED ON US LETTER. Do not change the scale, and where possible print centrally on the paper selecting boarder less printing. The overlap will be smaller but the overlap lines will appear in the page.

    The A0 file is made up of 3 pages
